Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 11, 2026

Your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud account. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal information. Period.

Overview

SipSaver ("the App") is developed and maintained by Michael Mashlan. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data. The short version: your data is yours, and we have no interest in changing that.

Data Storage

All data you enter into the App, including drink logs, dry day records, challenge progress, milestones, and personal settings, is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you are signed into iCloud, your data is automatically synced to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service.

This means:

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. Specifically:

In-App Purchases

The App offers optional premium subscriptions and a lifetime purchase. All transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses. Apple's own privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, the App uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud container and is subject to Apple's iCloud privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Notifications

The App may send local notifications (such as evening reminders, streak milestones, and weekly summaries) if you grant notification permission. These notifications are generated entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.

Health Data

The current version of the App does not integrate with Apple Health. If Apple Health integration is added in a future update, it will only read and write data with your explicit permission, and no health data will be sent to external servers.

Children's Privacy

The App is rated 17+ on the App Store and is not intended for use by children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud account, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete all App data by:

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
